DAY PASS: €38

Lake of Formarin at 1789 m above sea level

The Formarinsee, like the Spullersee is easy to reach using the Lech local bus via the toll road into the Zugertal valley. This mountain lake in the area around the source of the Lech river is not only the starting point for the Lechweg hiking trail, but also a real natural treasure.

The lake is home to a good stock of rainbow and brown trout, and the spectacular environment does its utmost to make fishing among the mountains unforgettable!

The Formarinsee is managed by the Klostertal Fishing Club.

Important access information:

Accessing the Formarin by car is only possible via a toll road (€25 obligatory charge) from Zug.

And there is also a general ban on vehicles every Wednesday, and between 8 am and 4.30 pm from Thursday to Tuesday, although the Lech local bus runs regularly during this time (toll  + bus ticket charge €24).
